Very much looking forward to PIL obtaining this very valuable license. If a major company was willing to take a substantial stake(72million) in the Philippine company CoinsPH s back in 2019 all because they possessed an EMI, makes you ponder what a license is worth now in 2021
Someone mentioned takeover target, I don't think that would happen, but I do very much think a foreign Digital Bank wanting to break into the filipino market may give PIL a tap on the shoulder in partnering them for their expansion into the country. There are a lot of Digital Banks out there looking to expand that don't necessarily want to have to jump through all the hoops and banking regulations that each country requires. So Imo the EMI will not just give PIL a massive market base shot in the arm to play with but will also attract foreign digital banks wanting to expand. Doors will open Bring it on, can't come soon enough.
