I really feel for you overseas investors getting treated like second class citizens. If you can invest directly in a company like RAC you should be able to participate in a capital raise.
It is a bit like the 708 sophisticated investor rules where it is OK for non-708 investors to buy as much stock as they like on market of a particular company, but they can’t participate in a capital raising. I have seen it suggested that everyone should be allowed to buy some fraction of their holding in a company in a normal capital raise even if they are not a 708 investor.
