Perhaps a federal ICAC might examine aspects of financial markets.
Unfortunately we don't have such a body. Probably because industrial scale pork barreling by our Federal Government has tempered its enthusiasm for establishing an investigative body as promised at the last election.
Another election looms. Who knows, maybe after that we might see something established by a new government with a sense of duty to the nation rather than itself.
