    It's nothing complicated. Going by the story, they knew Jesus personally, seen the miracles, therefore they had evidence and needed no faith to believe in what they had seen and experienced for themselves. For those that were not there, those who are merely told these things, faith is needed to believe.

    This is what is meant by "faith" today, to believe what was revealed 2000 years ago, so it's not a blind faith.

    Christian faith is based on what was revealed by Christ.

    Now you can chose to believe or reject it.
