Hi COB holders,
Could you help out a future COB investor please. Will the off take partners lock in a premium prices for COB's ESG friendly Cobalt Sulphate? To elaborate, the economics of this project are structured on a cobalt price of $27.5/lb or roughly $62,000/ton. So.... if the hypothetical market spot price for cobalt is $27.5/lb (i.e. DRC cobalt) what would LG be prepared to pay for COB's cobalt? Or in alternatively, what does the spot price of cobalt have to be for COB to secure a $27.5/lb sale?
Are we expecting to see the below chart just to go sideways from now on and never dip below $62,000/ton? Because if it does than the economics don't look good for COB. Many thanks! looking forward to some feedback and education.
Approx $40/lb is the forecast from Cancord which I am sure you guys have already sighted.
