I'm not "confused" about anything MFG hits my value SP on the models I use. So I buy some. MFG is a fund manager business that makes money for it's shareholders by being a fund manager. But I find out there is also fund manager/broker(s) (most likely?) been increasing short positions in the stock...now >4% of shares on issue They have (most likely) borrowed these to short from a big super fund with a much larger pool of stock here in Aus?( than I will ever own) So I refuse to participate competing in this situation in a non transparent market which is skewed against me. That's why I put the stock on hold. Until the MFG BOD sort it out and get rid of these short sellers. What is there to be confused about? Who in their right mind as a small online trading shareholder would turn up to a market (looking to buy something) when the odds are clearly stacked against you? NA/IMO
