you're right, there is a lot to play out. however, you're playing your opinion about the actions of big companies as fact and using name calling trying to pry holder emotions which is, as you so graciously raised, is misleading. come out from the shadows and publicise your account activity. you have absolutely NO idea that companies are "not interested" as a statement of "fact", that's garbage.
IMO you would be terribly inefficient participating in an auction if showing early intent or showing your budget before the auction has started as your MO. IMO the powerhouses also would not waste time investing via CR's, they'd want the whole pie in one transaction and completely control their investment, R&D, etc. WP has said there have been offers, just too early too cheap. how do we know they weren't offers from the "powerhouses".
IMO this plays out strongly, no matter the timeframe.
