Well looks like that’ll be pretty much all she wrote for 2021. But what an incredible 12 months it’s been!
On this day last year our share price closed at 8.5c. Today we closed at 54c, for a 12 month gain of 535%.
In the last 12 months CXO has:
* been awarded the mineral lease for BP33
* made various gold discoveries
* acquired more lithium tenements
* been awarded federal major project status
* produced battery grade lithium hydroxide at the scoping study level
* commenced a major lithium drilling program of which we are starting to now receive results, including what looks to be a new deposit at Ah Hoys
* secured Darwin port operating agreement
* signed an agreement to connect Finniss to the power grid
* received a $6mil grant from the federal government for a lithium hydroxide feasibility study (which should be very close to being completed)
* released a new DFS with upgraded ore reserves and much improved mine life and project economics
* released a scoping study showing a 10 year mine life, plus potential of lithium fines
* inked a binding offtake with one of the worlds biggest lithium producers in Ganfeng
* conducted a transformative equity raise which has resulted in our mine being fully funded and having a massive treasure chest of cash
* signed a mining services contract with Lucas
* awarded EPC contract to Primero
* made FID to go ahead with the Project
* commenced construction on Australia’s newest lithium project
* reached a milestone valuation at one point of over $1 billion MC
A transformational year for CXO (to think: this time next year we will be in production!).
But also, a transformational year for many CXO shareholders I’m sure…particularly for you long termers!
For years we navigated our way through stormy seas…sometimes wondering if our ship was ever going to make it to its final destination…sometimes wondering if we would sink…wondering if our captain knew where he was going…wondering if the compass was broken or the map was lost…wondering if we should salvage what we could and abandon ship. But you longs kept on course, steady as she goes, and now you’re all up to your necks in treasure!
There would be so many success stories here…it would be great to here them all one day…
