“Anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm."

    Publius Syrus

My friends, it would be too much of a cliche to wish a Happy New Year. Tiresias wishes health. Without health there is no happiness. Without health there is nothing.

There have been some changes with Optiscan management. Tiresias studiously avoided criticising previous managements, including the most recent, inadequate as they have been. Tiresias has occasionally hinted, and his is sure his acute friends would have understood his meaning. Suffice it to say, Tiresias is very pleased with the changes. Tiresias now looks forward with greater even confidence. There much in the pipeline. There are studies underway, studies completed, FDA approval, technical advances, and other applications. Let’s go 2022.

Tiresias has been pondering the recent events and how they will play out in the Optiscan share price in the short term. Tiresias can’t help but be curious as to how this took place. Tiresias gave a scenario in his penultimate post. He dreamt or liked to wish, that the ascension of the new CEO/MD Camile Farah was done by the previous management, when they saw that Prof. Farah had exactly all the qualifications lacking in Optiscan to take the company to where it should have been ten years ago. Tiresias would have liked to think that there was an Isaac Barrow in the company. He however hinted that there may have been an alternate scenario; that the previous management went reluctantly. Tiresias also hinted that we might be able to deduce which of these scenarios took place from the subsequent price action. If it was the latter scenario, then one would expect some selling pressure, and rather than a rise in price one would expect from such an obvious positive move there would be some selling of the previously option acquired shares. Tiresias has noted some selling pressure which can only mean one thing; there could be an overhang. We know that there is real financial backing in Optiscan, so why not take out any overhang? Why should they? From the previous actions of the previous management, Tiresias’s impression is that these would be weak holders with weak hands. Let us now watch with interest and not without vicarious pleasure, and see how this plays out. Remember, the strong hands know, never to give a sucker a break!
