I hope everyone has had a safe and Merry Christmas break,
I thought I would bring this thread back due to the company detailing they are expecting to submit all of the companies regulatory approvals for Kwinana in January 2022.
Reading back through the announcement, there are a two points that no one has mentioned,
The supply of clean renewable energy is not new, we have a waste to energy production facility within 1km of the proposed production facility, I also believe BP are proposing a hydrogen production facility in the area,
What grabs my attention is the downstream processing of anode and cathode, I presume this isn't just ASX:FYI as it mentions cathode, I am not sure what role we will play in the cathode. The second part relates to the Green Steel Market, Does anyone know of any steel production in WA, I thought we only had steel production in SA and NSW?
Whatever the developments are, it requires an additional site, when you consider our proposed 20ktpa spherical graphite production facility only requires 2ha of the 6.7ha site lease area at Kwinana. I am keen to know what the developments are.
