"Millions starved in Russia, because the "workers" collectively tried to supply the needs of the people."

That wasn't the reason stalinism failed and "millions starved to death". Millions starved to death in czarist Russia too, I don't think the czar and his wealthy supporters shed many tears for their starving masses.

"Millions starved to death" on a regular basis on every continent previous to the 1970's .

People are still starving to death today but that is mostly due to wars as the various Imperialist powers jostle for resources, markets and influence.

The failure of Stalinism is the failure of nationalism, the failure of the anti-marxist travesty of "socialism in a single country".

"Communist China is succeeding only because it has embraced capitalism."

I agree. Socialism in a single country predictably failed in China and they embraced capitalism.
So it is incorrect to call China "communist" when we agree it is capitalist.
The CCP should be called "The Chinese Capitalist Party" if they were honest, which they are not of course.

Of course China relies on massive debt and a billion low paid workers for it's "success" and have all the problems of any capitalist country.
