I believe you can read a lot into the tone of announcements when you have credible and experienced management. You can easily see some in “sales mode” where they are hyping up a result but really not saying too much about what it means for the future… as they usually know it’s not as good as they are suggesting. But if you look at big finds, take sir or sfr for example… from the get-go they were projecting/flagging them as major discoveries unfolding and company making for shareholders. I’ve gone back in the past and read them all and thought how didn’t I realise how good these results were even just looking at mgmt language (hindsight helps). I believe this is the case here with cnb. They aren’t just hyping to get some interest for a cap raise… you can absolutely see they think they have something huge going on here. No doubt about it. Same as with stm. Experienced management and geos who know they have hit something that should be much bigger… not like most where they hit something that they know probably won’t be replicated.
I took a sizeable position in erm after their big hit but never felt this way about the management language. I still hold and hope … but it just doesn’t feel to me like they believe it’s going to continue. Not like this one. the share price seems to be reflecting this uncertainty as well… compared to cnb which is acting like it’s much more likely. Of course what’s in the ground is not a Complete known so language will never reveal the full story, but no one knows more than the company right now and if they feel like this… load… me… up…
