Hey float^, I agree with you but I think this EQXX will go into production in some form. In 2009 BMW's Vision Efficient Dynamics concept hybrid was born. 5 years later it went into production as the BMW i8. If you've seen on around they look awesome. The i8 has nearly everything the concept had.

The EQXX has something that Australian consumers want. Range. The biggest prohibitive factor in the take up of EVs in Oz, besides price, is range anxiety because of our wide brown land. 1000k range is the holy grail and, according to the Merc spokesperson, this range will be proved in the spring, Euro spring, I guess so Feb-April. He said it will do it easily. Why? Efficiency achieved, among other things, by the use of BrainChip.

We mightn't see the exact EQXX on the streets of Oz but we will be seeing something very close to it. Only my opinion. Onward.
