Plenty of people do work these festive holidays. Rigs don't shut down unless they are forced or have no work, they're a big investment that needs to be paid off and return a profit. Nobody is holding rig workers against their will. Would be far better off working on rig than working retail on boxing day selling people shit they don't need.
