oorain - if you want (i know i dont considering how much there is) take a look at the end result of each hurricane season - based around the damage done by katrina, then ike.

katrina was very destructive at surface, destroying platform and other like equipment at will, rendering it irrepairable and having most of this equipment scrapped, and the associated tiny oil co's went out of business. then look at the damage ike caused - a lot of subsea infrastructure was repaired, or redone, to better withstand being destroyed by hurricanes post katrina, but not necessarily damaged beyond repair. ike also was a different hurricane in that it wept up enormous surges rather then simply blew everything over like katrina.

i said at the time that ike was a better hurricane for NMS as it damaged, rather then destroyed infrastructure.

i still believe neptune are working in GOM, repairing ike damage. but obviously this needs to be confirmed - maybe at the AGM.
