See right there is the mistake you are making about wealth..."have a great wealth".
I did not say we were wealthy - "I said we made more than my wife and I needed to sustain a comfortable life"
There is a significant difference and this is probably what is affecting your outlook on life as you are measuring everything in terms of dollars. We do not lead an extravagant life, nor do we conversely skimp on things we enjoy. We both have life limiting illnesses and as a consequence live in the now.
When you understand and accept this you will live a fuller and more rewarding life.
