There was an unconfirmed rumour around when the AED deal looked a little shaky that someone other than AED had indicated thru a third party that LT was of interest to them. Presumably at a higher price than AED/Sinopec had offered. And you'd imagine it wasn't incremental based on ORG's buy.

The suggestion that AED/Sinopec may have wanted a crux deal tied into the LT deal just adds fuel to the fire.

Either way once LT flows at contract and the reserve upgrade is released suddenly AED's offering will look mighty paltry.

As I said at the time once commisioning risk is removed from LT then we'll suddenly have a much more valuable 100% owned asset, on our hands than many thought.
If so then the whole "delay" (furphy?) that alowed NXS to maintain 100% of LT will look like a masterstroke, intended or not lol.
