That's very impressive. Personally, I think it's quite difficult for Australians to grasp the difference in how technology is being used in Southeast Asian countries. Like e-money for example. In a basic sense, it's cash loaded into an electronic payment system like an e-wallet. In Australia we're really only just starting to load our debit and credit cards into our NFC enabled phones to use in apps like Apple Pay or Google Pay.
The landscape is different and Blockchain technology is more than likely going to be used for financial services in SEA before we see it in Australia because the current Visa and Mastercard rails are deeply ingrained.
The difference is of course speed of settlement and lower costs per transaction. Even in Australia, we now have PayID and Osko which are realtime transactions yet they still run a centralized network. This pushes Australia away from Blockchain transactions for quite some time imo.
In this current quarter though none of the "new technology" is important. It's about business development. New app version getting released with positive feedback. Merchant numbers growing and of course the AGM.
