My current estimate is that BG is down to 6.51M shares as at 31 December.
Total selling via Shaws is 2,208,116 between 1 November and 31 December. Based on this if I assume an average 1,104,058 shares sold per month then I estimate that BG will be down to 1.9M shares by the end of April and 0.8M shares by the end of May. Rate of selling has been slower Xmas / New Year however I expect average volumes will pick up again with anticipated news flow. I also think that the volumes and rate of selling via Shaws will gradually increase as market anticipates the supply tap turning off.
We may also see pattern of selling change in January so will be interesting to see data for the first and second weeks of January. This will give is a better idea of whether BG is liquidating the position.
