The only conceivable positive outcome that could come strategically lowering the SP, would be to stoke the T/O fire or to acquire more stock. There is simply no other reason why anyone would do it deliberately. Therefore the only other possibility is the most rational one and that's just panic selling and shorters.
The major holders have nothing to gain by forcing the price down unless acquiring more. If a TO were being taunted into revealing it won't be accepted by holders given that today's SP doesn't even cover the known resource value let alone the unproven but virtually accepted megaload still to be drilled. This has a bloody big trampeline under it and it will bounce on the next significant resource definition. Lets face it, its a 2 billion MC company with nothing but dirt for sale so far! The entire market is watching this stock, some from within (us) some from without (them) and some circling (shorters). When the flag drops again...
