In my opinion conservative approach will always work under the normal economic conditions. That is reasonable growth, controlled inflation levels, employment levels, etc. None of these stimulus stuff with printed money and deficit budgets spending like no tomorrow creates different conditions for assets valuation s. Talking about normal conditions, last night release of Federal Reserve minutes confirms the path for next 3 to 5 years, assuming omicron will be well under control. This is where conservative portfolios of Buffet or MFG or anybody else’s with correct stocks and proper weight aged , will always win on the long run. Interest rates has jumped over 1.7% within last 2 days even before any steps have been implemented by Federal reserve. As soon as investors see the MFG fund performance is equal or better, it will be attractive. Add the high dividend rates and that is the reason MFG that attractive prior to December 2020.
