I wouldn't have a clue which way the company will go re your prospecting, give them 2 weeks to reply & if no answer, go for it.
You would be after alluvial Gold and would need water. All the main streams appear to have been claimed for only Gold and that's most of the South Island Gold localities, using suction dredges.
You could try the Nardoo Valley & creek which would be on your right heading up past the Bella reef on the way to the Antimony Mine.
The only Adams Flat I know was near Mt Stuart between Lawrence & Milton, where were you?
