the best way to create rumours is to make them about something that is difficult to prove
ie avoid track records and put what you say in the future ie in a space where stuff hasn't happened yet.
that is what shorting is all about rumour about the future and the selling of stock that begets more selling of stock until a company's stock price is smashed to smithereens.
