One clear thing is the sell down is far ahead of what MFG is having by the end of December by any measurements: FUM, FUM performance, expected earning and expected Feb div. The current share price is at or below 2018 level where FUM is far less. The market is skewed by large amount of easy money or cheap money and higher risk taking by either the easy money or behaviour of younger investors. MFG is about to deliver the largest contribution to the fund. It may not grow as much as the market but it does reflect the risk profile. MFG is not the only one fund managers out there got sold off. The recent AFR article explain well of the situation. The next few month or 2022 year will show us if MFG strategy is working and hence its share price. GLA.
