But the low ejection fraction is the primary mechanism by which these patients are at increased risk of stroke. That and the increased risk of AF.
So I was clarifying that if the local injection improved ejection fraction that could be a mechanism, but it doesn't. Or if it somehow prevented AF, which it doesn't.
This is why once someone reaches a certain ejection fraction they are started on anticoagulation (warfarin or apixaban usually).
Your "gotcha" is a pretty solid example of someone really not knowing what they don't know.
