there has to be a valid reason for BRN not to announce this on the ASX. I absolutely agree that this should be an ASX announcement as it is obviously material to the company and the SP. But the only explanation I can think of is :

1:that there is some restrictions in the agreement with Marcedes and BRN that excludes BRN to disclose to ASX

2: the ASX does not think it is more than marketing and does not classify it worth as an price sensitive announcement. ( very unlikely)

3: Marcedes has got an agreement with a 3rd part distributor of Akida by the likes of Valeo, Renesas, Megachips, Socionext etc. Thus It does not require an announcement from BRN as it is not a direct sale. (I don't know what the rules are for BRN to announce this deal if it is not directly between BRN and Mercedes)
