Well FFI may come into it but it's still early days there.. imo. What is more likely is simple institutional rotation and the usual cycle of ups and downs that FMG endures again and again....
If prices don't fall dramatically and then rise in equally dramatic fashion, the institutions don't make any money. As supreme opportunists these same institutions seized on the fall in the price of IO to flood the market with doom and gloom scenarios. The sky was falling in, nothing would ever be the same, IO would hit $40 - $ 50 and stay there....etc, etc. And the patsies believed the nonsense, took the broker analysis seriously, swallowed the kool-aid and sold and sold and sold....
Of course it was all nonsense, as always. The world is not coming to an end - no matter what happens IO will be in demand, in peace time and in war, if for different purposes....
Only a few weeks ago we were told FMG would be at $11 soon and instead we have gone up over 50% from the low of $13.90 .... the brokers and the institutions buying heavily while their retail arms rubbished the stock.
Once again the money moves from weak hands to strong and it'll happen again and the same types will panic and sell, losing their shirts while the large players take their shares and their money...
