I must admit when Intel's Neuromorphic Research Community is raised on these threads, I have to laugh.

The concept of the INRC comes right from Intel's play book.
I admit the INRC is a "broard church" of scientific laboratories, research institutions, universities and even large enterprise from all around the world. Intel freely admits it provides funding to the community to carry on their research programs. But lets face it, most institutions struggle with funding and with Intel having funds galore this money comes with conditions. Firstly research needs to meet Intel's requirements to primarily advance their development and possible commercial applications of it's Loihi architecture. While this suggests that Mike Davies and his labs must be bereft of any decent ideas at the very least continued funding would be very hard to come by if any objective comparison on benchmarks was ever made between Akida and Loihi or even Loihi2.

In fact it's laughable that with all the INRC funding and all the neuromorphic research over the years you wouldn't think BrainChip even existed.
But that myopic attitude by Intel not even acknowledging BRN's existence have long past.
Yep BRN's days of flying under the radar seem to be well over.

All this is only wild speculation of course.
