What will the car of the future look like? Mercedes-Benz gave some answers: the wind resistance is lower than that of a football; a single charge can drive from Nanjing to Beijing; the energy consumption per 100 kilometers is less than 10 kWh, which is about the same as running the air conditioner for one night or washing clothes once.
Do you think Mercedes-Benz is drawing cakes with you? People have already built the car, which is the VISION EQXX concept car just released at CES.
Focus: These technologies of EQXX are developed with the goal of mass production. From 2025, Mercedes-Benz will gradually stop technical investment in the development of internal combustion engines, and will achieve full electric power in 2030. EQXX is the technical prototype of these electric Mercedes-Benz cars in the future.
Therefore, Pacific Automobile interviewed Mr. Markus Schäfer, a member of the board of directors of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG, and the chief technology officer responsible for R&D and procurement, to find out which technologies of EQXX have been done well. Ready for mass production.
