I can understand the thinking but I am not a fan personally unless I am nearing my exit range. Reason being with the market like it is now todays big upswing might be met by a decent down swing tomorrow, and as I am a medium to long term hold on CXO I am prepared to hold on even during dips, which no doubt will come.
I have a CGT issue if I take a stop loss now and I feel the medium to longer term value for CXO is still much higher. So I choose to hold.
