Well these guys have a very large resource in the ground and need a big partner to get it out. If the placement is to bring in a partner in a recovering economic cycle then I'm happy as long as they offer both the partner and existing holders a piece.
The stock price of around 15c is really a reflection of the markets assessment that the risk is very high (in my assessment higher than a 9 in 10) chance of the management not being able to get a partner or raise funds to realise the potential of the in ground resource.
Lets be honest if the market believed SDL would easily get the stuff out of the ground then the stock price would be $2 or more the financials look outstanding. I hope its a big placement to a partner because that would be very positive on the stock price, but time will tell.
I have held for a long time but without identifying a partner I'm unwilling to increase my holding past the 200,000 I have now (btw I'm carrying at a substantial loss at present).
