estellaxxoo...depends what it is you are looking for a lead on..but futures track the physical markets point for point.
however if you are looking at foward contracts in commodities say 9 months in advance ..like oil or wheat you might get some indication of future prices..but i would'nt put my house on it if i where you .
Longer term intrest rate futures Like 10 year notes (treasuries) are a reasonably reliable gauge for intrest rates.
