I invest with the idea of taking advantage of inaccurate market perception and/or sentiment.
By that I mean, simply buying when others are doubtful and wrong at the same time, or selling when others are too optimistic and at the same time wrong.
I guess the most simply term for the above is to be contrarian in nature.
Moreover, I sure as hell wouldn't buy into any company at $4 if I thought it was going to peak at $5. The risk reward ratio just wouldn't make things worth it.
We simply can't be buying when everything is, or perceived as, hunky-dory. The market doesn't pay well for that.
