Major car hire company opens up in Stratford
The international Enterprise Rent A Car company is to open an office in Stratford-upon-Avon shortly - after a long hunt for suitable premises.

The company, which has its regional office in Redditch, will operate from Unit 8 at the Swan Trade Centre, Avenue Farm Industrial Estate.

Chartered Surveyors and auctioneers Bigwood, acting for landlords the Valad Property Group, arranged the deal, which is a new 10-year full repairing lease at £22,000 pa.

The landlord has granted a rolling break clause after the first anniversary of the lease.

Enterprise Rent A Car is not yet occupying the unit at Avenue Farm - but fit out works are under way.

Enterprise spokesman Spencer King said: "We are hoping to be fully operational in Stratford within six weeks and we are delighted to take this opportunity to operate there.

"We have had an eye on Stratford for several years but for a long time could not find the right premises, location and space to accommodate our needs."

James Ironmonger for Bigwood said: "We were delighted in playing a part in bringing a major international vehicle renting company to the town, which of course has an enormous turnover of tourists during the season."
