Synlait has GACC registration for Dunsandel, Pokeno and Auckland. (Below)
Synlait Dunsandel has SAMR for a2 platinum.
You can’t get SAMR just for a factory. SAMR is given to a combination brand/factory. Each factory can have 3 brands and 3 products per brand. a2 never applied for second SAMR with Synlait. Synlait was trying to get SAMR for Bright Dairy (who is major shareholder in Synlait) and New Hope (in which Synlait is a minor shareholder). I suspect it was for Dunsandel, as Pokeno was not commissioned yet when they applied. They supposed to get SAMR for BD and NH by the end of 2019 but it was delayed and after pandemic started it seems they no longer pursuing that registration as I think DB and NH are no longer interested in selling IF as market conditions changed (well, I wasn’t able to find any information about their brands they were trying to register anyway).
Currently Synlait Pokeno mainly produce ingredients only and is getting ready to manufacture packaged goods for a new mysterious multinational customer.
Synlait Dunsandel is in the process of renewing SAMR for a2 platinum. Which I believe they will get without a problem same as they received the original one as soon as they can arrange onsite inspection.
a2 is planning start to upgrade MVM in FY23. Once they build packaging facilities they can apply for SAMR with MVM
