I agree the Minister's angle seems trite and, yes, "flimsy" is a good word. on the surface at least.

and this in itself is really not a good look if the Court finds against the Govt.

same time though, there's a lot to consider in the D's lawyers visa responses (what a tangled web is what I think) but now these have been set aside! I have to ask why? even though they seemed trivial at least there's some evidence and law to back it, but concern about raising the ire of freedom march/family outings? how does the Govt substantiate that?
