Wow! Another breaking news from China CATL!
They hv just announced to start EVOGO, a new business to set over 9000 batteries exchange stations across China by 2025!
What that means to our lithium industry is we will no longer only rely on the number of EV sold, but also another untapped lithium battery demand of exchange batteries. To give an estimate of its size, I would say it shall be similar to the actual EV battery number if we assumed 1 EV to 1 running +1 exchange battery in our forecast model.
Seriously, if this battery exchange model prevails in China, only sky is our limit, PLS holders
