After an extensive review of what they are offering and achieving my views are:

LVT is more akin to a co trailblazer than any form of direct competition
The LVT products, while offering Edge and Cloud, do not have the degree of technological sophistication as Spectur's products
The LVT products consume significantly more power than Spectur's products - hence their physical make up with large solar panel and large battery boxes on a trailer
Their systems, while having multiple configurations, do not offer the degree of flexibility and modularity that is enabling Spectur to solve problems in a range of use cases
I see issues with security of their systems themselves, being ground located.

Any sort of direct competition between LVT & Spectur would be years off - and with current products Spectur would be significantly ahead.

Having said that, LVT are demonstrating that the market is huge and profitable. They have ~250 employees, 3 offices and 5,000 deployed units and have achieved 649% growth in the last 3 years. Revenue is $25m USD in the last year.

I have chatted to Gerard Dyson at Spectur and he is aware of the LVT products and development. Its my view that Spectur can learn a few things from LVT, while continuing to grow well beyond what they are offering.

I can't ascertain where the money is coming from. The (private) company is still pretty much in its infancy and its product/s are less developed than Specturs (see earlier post).
