I think the recruitment drive is being underestimated as a driver of investor confidence. Companies don’t aggressively hire when they know they are in for a bumpy twelve months ahead, and usually they wait until they have some decent indicators of success on the board. Obviously there are commercially sensitive metrics the company don’t alert the market to until quarterlies or other announcements, so surely investors are seeing these post launch job ads as an indication management and the board are feeling pretty great about the medium term future.
