volumes at one month high (for newbies)

Thanks HANGSENG for your ever enthusiastic reminders about the facts of PENs resources and imminent production capacity.

A comment on volume: IMHO there will end up about 15 million shares churned today.

I say churned because it appears to me that a sophisticated buyer is doing what smart buyers do 'buy 4 sell 3' or something in this ratio. Smart sellers. of course operate in the reverse so the SP doesn't bottom as they sell off their position.

The SP nudges forward without spiking and small margin profit takers and ambivalent holders join the 'queue' to sell at small margins or reduced losses. The accumulater or accumulators are able to buy a net volume (Say 1-5 million today)without triggering a SP spike.

This significant increase in activity which accompanied by a share price increase in the mornings trades is good news for holders. Don't be surprised if the SP retreats at close...another tactic of accumulators.

This is standard practice on the sharemarket.

Still, VOLUME is generally a good sign when the days WEIGHTED AVERAGE is significantly trending upwards over several days. You need to overlook the price on closing and take your cues from this daily weighted average.
