During the 2 +40 degrees days we had up in the Northern Suburbs of Perth on Xmas day and Boxing day there were thousands of houses left without power due to large amount of households cooking Xmas dinner and running air conditioners etc....what chances have we got when all these EV's need recharging...and yes I know about solar....IMO fossil fuels will be around for a very long time yet.
