    sorry dont get around as often as I should to this site.

    as I understand it (and I am no expert in this) FSC is more about managing the forestry resource responsibly. I am not aware if it governs the milling process. Its how you manage the forest. I must say that's the part that always has me worried as that's where I intellectually can see that irreparable damage can come about. As I understand it outside of the mill there are numbers of people out there stating that Gunns and Forestry Tasmania are "raping" the land and doing things that will harm the environment for decades if not forever.

    Thats why I would , as a shareholder, like Gunns to be certified by this body as its an international standard that seems to have recognition as a certifying body. much like TUV in other industries.

    When I looked I did find some Australian companies that are certified.

    as regards the mill I just hope that the Government has all the checks and balances.
