You misunderstand. Patents are definitely worthy of ASX announcements. But the asx is not the one that marks it as price sensitive or not. As we found out last time BRN released a patent announcement and marked it price sensitive, the ASX then put in a "please explain" and BRN unfortunately had to admit to a clerical error and say that patent announcements are not price sensitive as they do not carry a realised dollar value (but are still valid as an asx announcement).
