‘…from my vantage point, if you’ve got tech that’s genuine and head-and-shoulders best in class, you get bought out’
unbelievable, so this Luke Winchester guy mustn't invest in any early stage tech stocks if he needs to wait for a stock to be brought out by an established player to know if it's genuine? What a hopeless evaluation technique.
If large companies were so good at spotting "genuine tech":
Why didn't IBM but Microsoft in the 1970s?
Why didn't Microsoft buy Google in the 1990s?
Why didn't Google buy Facebook in the 2000s?
Poor old Luke.
By the why, what was the R&D spend of Microsoft in the late 90s? And what was Google's at that time?
