They were developed for the Wuhan strain, which wasn't around for very long at all. Vaccine manufacturers didn't even start with the wild covid-19 that was circulating around the world, they just got the genome sent to them by Chinese scientists and designed their vaccines from that point. Gee that would be an easy way for China to sabotage the west, send out a fake genome, hahaha. Lucky all things like that are just conspiracy theories.
