There will be a few who will claim they did. Guaranteed they will be in at the absolute peak, and if it goes back up again quickly, they will definitely say in hindsight "no problem, I covered at the exact bottom".

Very few retail investors actually take short positions surely, and I doubt any posters here actually take them. Unless you have huge capital, it wouldn't even be worth the significant risk

But this is an emotional forum, so it's easy to troll and say you're short for reactions.

Unfortunately though, there is a lot of gloating and celebration on up days, so on the down days the other side "get theirs back", and rinse and repeat.

There is a lot of moaning about the trolls here, with good reason... but those complaining are guilty of similar behaviour just to the positive.

Would be good if we could put one upping and petty point scoring aside and discuss positives and negatives like adults, but that's the internet.
