Yes …. First trip I had three young kids and the plan of living in one of the local bed and breakfast places for several weeks after a few nights at Tjampuhan with the grandma. We found a lovely place near that restaurant on the ravine but my idea of ‘going native’ was supported - vehemently - by none of them.
I finally found a budget local hotel up the other end of town that was Western enough for them and, essentially, we stayed on the grounds until it was time to leave, bar rides down to that restaurant to eat cheese and tomato jaffles
