Good point there DVEous. I have holdings in the developing Galena-Abra mine nearby. Smaller lead-silver concentrate transport task to Geraldton, but a quick back-of-the-envelope calculation shows a rail link would save approx $2 million p.a. vs road.
Add to that all the other non-IO mines in the area, and this could help with the project's viability. Add to this all the general freight backhaul too.
