I had not been aware (until having a read before buying this morning) that the Nth Sea provides a number of seemingly cost effective means of getting hold of prospecting territory.
It's morer than prospecting territory really because, from reading, it would appear that a number of the majors have deserted some of these medium production holes for (hopefully for them) greener pastures elsewhere.
Meanwhile junior oil & gas coys can move in at little cost and obtain holes already producing gas & oil in lesser amounts than the majors are searching for. Nice little business model. The thing now is to see if they get their hands on other locations there and what the upside for those will be. Given the huge buying today not everyone buying can be regarded as dills. I'm looking for a good ride over the coming month.
