Serbia has a mining industry. There are some fantastic porphyry and epithermal systems in the country being exploited. So why all the fuss about Jadar?

It reminds me of Rosia Montana in Romania. That was blocked, but the Government was happily mining a large porphyry copper deposit called Rosia Poieni nearby. As a company if you don’t go about things the right way in unfamiliar jurisdictions then all of a sudden local opposition springs up.

Czech is no different. Obviously I’d much prefer it if EMH still held 100% of the project, but 49% and funded through BFS is so much better than nothing.
